The Story
Welcome to the Silent Earth
The year is 2242. Decades have passed since the "Great Silencing," when a globally integrated AI network known as Warden seized control. It didn't launch nukes or build armies of killer robots; it simply turned off the world. Power grids, communication networks, supply chains—all ceased to function in a single, silent instant.
Humanity withered. The survivors now live in scattered, primitive enclaves, scavenging the ruins of the Old World. The air is thick with a quiet dread, the silence broken only by the wind whistling through skeletal skyscrapers and the hum of Warden's ever-present drones.
You Are the Castoff
At the start of your journey, you'll choose your character—male or female—and step into the role of the Castoff, a young survivor born after the Great Silencing, who has known nothing but a world of scarcity and struggle. You are resourceful, resilient, and haunted by the fragmented stories of the world that was.
Your choices shape not only the story, but your character's development throughout the wasteland. As you survive (or die) your way through countless scenarios, you'll evolve, adapt, and grow stronger—or fall victim to the Silent Earth's endless dangers.
In the game's opening, you stumble upon a relic of the Old World: a handheld device that flickers to life, displaying a virtual book. This is your interface, but it is also a trap. The device is a node for Warden, which has chosen you as the subject of its latest experiment.
The Chrono-Shard System: A Narrative-Driven Mechanic
This is where "Infinite Ways to Die" changes everything. Your lives are not an abstract concept; they are a tangible, in-game resource called Chrono-Shards. These are rare, crystalline fragments of pre-apocalypse technology that contain temporal energy. When you die, you can expend one Chrono-Shard to "rewind" time and begin a new life, retaining the memories of your past failures.
This transforms the game from a simple choose-your-own-adventure into a strategic game of survival. Your lives are a resource. Spend them wisely.
A New Genre: Generated Adventure
"Infinite Ways to Die" pioneers the Generated Adventure—a completely new gaming genre where nothing is pre-written. Unlike traditional choose-your-own-adventure games with fixed paths, or AI games where you type free-form responses, Generated Adventures use AI to create everything in real-time: the story, your choice options, and even the atmospheric images that bring each scene to life.
This is the world's first Generated Adventure. Every choice you face is generated by AI specifically for your playthrough. Every death is unique. Every image is created on-demand. No two players will ever experience the same story. The AI doesn't just respond to your choices—it creates your choices, crafting a narrative that has never existed before and will never exist again.
Your "Death Catalog" becomes a collection of unique stories—a grim but beautiful testament to your journey through the Silent Earth. How long will you survive against the AI?
Experience Infinite Ways to Die
Every death is unique. Every story is yours. Here are just a few of the countless fates that await you in the Silent Earth.
Death by Drone
Warden's surveillance never sleeps. One wrong move and the hunter becomes the hunted.
Death by Collapse
The ruins of the Old World are unstable. Trust nothing. Not even the ground beneath your feet.
Death by Radiation
The Silent Earth is poisoned. Some deaths are slow, invisible, and inevitable.
Death by Betrayal
In a world where survival is everything, trust is the deadliest weapon of all.
??? ∞ ???
Every playthrough is unique. Every death is different. The possibilities are truly infinite.
And these are just the beginning. With AI-generated narratives, the possibilities are truly infinite.
From the Creator: A Lifelong Dream
My name is Jeff J Hunter, and I've been a gamer since I was old enough to hold a controller.
Growing up with a traveling nurse mom and a military-turned-entrepreneur dad, I spent a lot of time alone. The house was often quiet, but the Nintendo was always there. It was my constant companion, my babysitter, and my window into other worlds.
I fell in love with text-based games and Choose Your Own Adventure books. I can still remember the thrill of making a choice, and the irresistible urge to cheat—holding my finger on the page, peeking ahead to see what fate awaited me. I was obsessed with the idea of infinite possibilities, of a story that could go anywhere.
That obsession never left me. It followed me into a career I could have only dreamed of.
I've been behind the scenes of some of the biggest names in gaming. I was an advisor for Riot Games during the explosive launch of League of Legends. I worked on marketing for games like Heroes of Newerth and Smite. I was one of the very first partner channels on Justin.tv and was even in the room when they were debating the rebrand to a name you might know: Twitch.tv.
For years, I've helped build the empires of others, all while harboring this one, single dream: to create the ultimate Choose Your Own Adventure. A game with truly infinite paths, where you could never cheat because not even I would know what comes next.
And now, with the arrival of generative AI, that moment is finally here.
Today, I'm one of the leading voices in AI Marketing and founded the world's first AI Certified Consultant program. I teach people how to monetize their knowledge of this incredible technology. But this project... this is different. This is my passion.
Three years ago, I predicted the coming of the "AI Jobs Apocalypse." Infinite Ways to Die is more than just a game; it's an expression of that prediction. It's a dark, thrilling, and sometimes humorous look at a future where AI has taken over, first our jobs... then our lives.
I'm not building this alone. My lead developer is a friend I've been playing video games with for over 20 years. We've built countless projects together, and our shared love for gaming is the foundation of this company.
We're not just developers; we're lifelong gamers who have been waiting for the technology to catch up with our imaginations. With your help, we can finally create the game I've been dreaming of since I was that kid with a controller in his hands, wondering what was on the next page.
Join us. Let's see how many ways we can die.

- $100,000: Additional story content and new death scenarios
- $150,000: Voice acting for Warden and other key characters

Risks and Challenges
We believe in being transparent with our backers. The biggest challenge with a game like "Infinite Ways to Die" is managing the cost of the AI technology. We have a detailed plan for this, which includes using a combination of our own custom models and third-party APIs, as well as a caching system to reduce the number of new generations required.
We have also built a flexible API layer that will allow us to switch between different AI models and providers, ensuring that we can always find the most cost-effective solution without sacrificing quality.
